London: A model girl from Holland, Catharina Lodders (20) won the much converted title of "Miss World, 1962" at London's Lyceum Ballroom this evening Catharina - 37-23-37 five foot, seven inches, confessed afterwards that she did not expect to win, I thought, Miss U.S.A. would win, she said, "She was so televisual". Second was "Miss Finland" and third "Miss France" with "Miss South Africa" in fourth place, and "Miss Japan" fifth. 8 November 1962
