A glittering Christmas tree lends the right festive air to a carol sung by (left to right) Nurse Gloria Graeme; Corporal of Horse Colin Misseneder; WRAC Private Diane Palmer; Lance Corporal Mike Febbrarro and Squadron Quatermaster Corporal Lucien Scott. Tonight (Thursday) a number of members of the Household Cavalry, and others, will be singing carols for the enjoyment of Londoners to raise funds for the British Red Cross Society's Westminster Division. Their route will be: Hyde Park Barracks Yard, Travers Square, Montpelier Square, Cheval Place, Brompton Square, Casa Pepi Restaurant, Brompton Road, Thurloe Square and the block of flats opposite South Kensington Underground station. The Household Cavalry has sung carols for charity for the past ten years. - 21st December 1961
