Charlie the swan is a regular visitor to Shoreham's inn- "The Rising Sun". Two years ago in the Shoreham Kent, a fox killed the parents of a young cygnet. So some of the villages cared for him and hand fed him. He was eventually put of the River Darent that runs close by and christened him "Charlie". and now three times a day he can been seen making his way to the local Inn "Rising Sun" where he is fed. 26 October 1957
