Kingston, Jamaica: England's Janet Simpson is carried of the track on a stretcher after she had collapsed at the end of the women's 220 yards final at the Commonwealth Games in Kingston yesterday. The race was won by Australia's Dianne Burge, with Miss Simpson finishing last in the field of eight. After Miss Simpson's team mates Anne Smith and Pat Lowe went to the aid of Janet, who had fainted and slumped to the ground, They were intercepted by chief track marshal A.Macintosh. The girls alleged later they were forcibly pulled away from their team mate as they tried to comfort her. 12 August 1966
