US Apollo 7 Mission - 4th April 1968 - Apollo 7 was the first manned flight of the Apollo spacecraft with astronauts Walter Schirra (Crew Mission Commander), Jr, Donn Eisele (Command Module Pilot), and Walter Cunningham (Lunar Module Pilot) on board. It performed earth orbit operations. During the mission, the crew made the first live television transmission from space. Apollo 7 was launched on a Saturn IB (the 5th Saturn B1) booster. The mission successfully tested many of the hardware systems. The Command Module is on display at the National Museum of Science and Technology, Ottawa, Canada. - 固opFoto
