Three little girls learning the elementary stages of "writing" in Brail. A school has been opened for blind junior boys and girls and the former house was acquired by the LCC in 1948. The school is another step in the Council's achievement of making further provisions for blind children to obtain an education which will enable them to take their place in life as useful citizens and members of the community. 1949
