What happens when the great US battleship New Jersey fires her nine 16-inch guns in one salvo is shown in this unusual picture taken from an aircraft as 'Mighty Jay' carried out a bombardment in Korea. As flame and smoke belch from the guns towards the rugged landscape, the terrific 'push' effect exerted on the huge ship by the firing of all nine guns is clearly seen in the pattern of the water.
