Free breakfasts in the Parish Hall for early morning churchgoers are being provided by the Rev A Meyrick Johnson - Vicar of St John's Church in Hampton Wick in Middlesex - the Vicar has been worried by the thought of hungry people walking long distances to and from the church on Sunday mornings and he is therefore providing the congregation with breakfast after the Holy Communion at 9am - the cost being met by himself and several of the parishioners - the menu is boiled eggs with bread and butter and marmalade and coffee and the Vicar hopes that the free breakfasts will also permit his flock to have a longer rest in bed while still attending church on their only free day of the week - the Vicar ( the Rev A Meyrick Johnson ) helping one of his parishoners to a cup of coffee at the free breakfast provided after Holy Communion January 27th 1935
