Mr Frank A Ambler, for 25 years an LMS signalman, is to play first clarinet at the Queens Hall in a concert given by the LMS (London) Orchestra for the Hospital Saturday Fund 62nd anniversary, on November 9th. Mr Ambler, who lives at Munden Grove, Watford, is the only signalman, and, as he thinks, the only wages man in the orchestra most of the musicians are employed in the clerical department. He loves the clarinet, finding the music soothing and relaxing after the roar of trains and the pulling of levers all day or night. Photo shows Mr Frank A Ambler in uniform.
