There was a touch of drama at the reception held in the inner court at the Monaco Palace, when Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace received guests. Among the guests were many bearing gifts, including two Monegasque girls with a white turtle dove - the traditional Monegasque symbol of good luck. Moments later, the flutter bird escaped from the bride's hands and flew off, much to almost tearful disappointment of the little donors.
