Queen mother Kossamak Nearireath (centre) is helped down the steps by Mrs John F Kennedy and Chief of Staff Prince Norodom Sihanouk , following an exchange of gifts . The Cambodian royal family gave Mrs Kennedy a gold necklace , bracelet and brooch . In return , she presented a Kennedy family portrait of a laughing late President , herself and her two children . Mrs Kennedy left Cambodia for Bangkok . 8th November 1967
