Fashion designer Mary Quant holds the foot of a model as other models look on, when she stepped into the footwear fashion market today 15th August 1967 with a range of young boots for Autumn . The boots are made in see-through plastic backed cotton jersey and it is believed that this is the first time this material has been used for fashion footwear .
