Almost A Record Taking time out for a small celebration at London airport last night , are these three members of Trans World Airlines Flight 702 crew ( Left to Right ) First Officer Clifford Sparrow , Captain D . W . Heath , and Engineer Bob Hor . The three brought their jet roaring into London from New York in five hours 17 minutes , almost setting a record for the trip. They were robbed of a record by being held up in the flight pattern for four minutes . the jet crossed the Atlantic in the jet stream with 127 passengers and ten crew aboard . On his arrival , Captain Heath commented it was the fastest flight he had ever flown 19th October 1964
