There was no fighting in the in the Czech Lands and Slovakia during World War 1 ,whose cruel flames had engulfed the whole of Europe , but the war was felt everywhere . The country had become the granary and supplier of the entire Austro HUngarian monarchy , grain and food were exported , while the people went hungary .
