Nearly a thousand Boy Scouts from all parts of the country gathered at Windsor Castle to attend the St Georges Parade and service at St George's Chapel to mark Founders Day in memory of the late Lord Baden-Powell and in commemoration of the movement's patron saint, St George. In front of the column of marching scouts were carried the Kings colours of the Boy Scouts Association, and the Scouts own green flag with its gold trefoil. Behind these flags came the banners of 39 contingents from different countries. Photo shows the Scouts marching into the service at St Georges Chapel, Windsor. 28 April 1946
