Australian victory flag for Viscount Montgomery. Australiann Victory Flag, sent by the A.I.F Wive's and Children's Welfare Association of New South Wales, was presented to field Marshal Viscount Montgomery, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, at a ceremony at Australia House, Strand, London, this morning (Thursday). The presentation was made by the Australian Resident Minister, Mr J A Beasley, in the presence of representatives of the three Australian services. Many AIF men saw service under Montgomery during the war.
