Parliament reassembles with the new War Minister Mr F. J. Bellenger, making a statement on the sentences passed by court-martial on 243 men of the 13th Parachute regiment for mutiny in Malaya. Thousands of signatures on petitions against the sentences have been sent to Westminster for presentation to him.
