Firemen, police and railway workers used special cutting apparatus to extricate for L.P.T.B. Employees believed to have been trapped in several coaches of the tube train which colided with another train in the underground section of the eastern section of the central line which was opened to the public yesterday. Both trains were empty of passengers at the time of the crash which occurred on a stretch of loop line which is used for turning trains beyond the actual station at Stratford.
