A stretch of the Regents Canal bank, about 100 yards in length, in Bloomfield Road, Maida Vale, collapsed with a crash into the water. 4 men who had been sitting on the bank had just walked away when the subsidence took place. The fall started only a few yards from may develop bridge, which carries main road traffic over the canal. Prince Road rage may have been closed to traffic as there is a danger of further fall. 1 April 1947
