The Royal family are to receive these beautiful diamond gifts from the people of South Africa, at the conclusion of their tour of the union, on April 24th. The King received the onset diamonds (seen at back), mounted in wax in the form of the Springbok. The Queen is to be presented with the magnificent sunset diamond (foreground) and Princess Elizabeth will receive the diamond necklace. The bracelet, containing 35 stones, is the Princess Margaret. 23 April 1947
