The honour of being the first women's organisation to be represented at the Royal tournament has fallen to the W AAF. The W AAF central band, already well versed in appearing on great occasions, they played in the Lord Mayor's show, led a Belgian victory parade at Leige, and has toured Norway, Holland, Denmark, Germany and France, were busy at Henlow today putting the final polish on a performance that will undoubtedly impress the most critical visitors to this notable military event. 4 June 1947
