The second day of Royal Ascot today, Wednesday, saw a bigger attendance than yesterday despite the rain. The men had raincoats over their morning clothes and most of the women were wearing wrapped plastic macs over their dresses. Big race of the day was the Royal Hunt Cup, and, as in most of the Ascot Races this year, there was strong opposition from many French entries.
