The "Fiery Cross" the ancient method of summoning the Scottish Clans - has been brought out once more to summon the Scottish people in many parts of the world - this time to Edinburgh, home of the Scottish exhibition of industrial design "Enterprise Scotland 1947", which opens in Edinburgh on August 25th. At a ceremony held at London airports the symbol of the "Fiery Cross" was handed to Capt Donald Anderson, one of the BOAC's leading transatlantic pilots, for the transportation to New York where it will be received by the Scottish communities of the city. 11 August 1947
