A press reception held at the Savoy hotel, London, last night, to meet the Greek singer, Ferindinos, who makes his debut at the Albert Hall on October 16. Ferindinos actually owes his life to his singing ability. During the war he fought in the Greek army against the Germans, but was later captured. Serving as a POW, he had his sentence of execution stayed because of his fine voice. He arrived in Cardiff earlier this year to visit his mother who is Welsh, and make a public appearance as a singer in this country.
