Stage door wedding. To stage artists who met at the famous 'Stage Door Canteen' were married this morning (Friday) at Brompton Oratory, London. They were singer Paul Carpenter, who has been called 'the British, Frank Sinatra', and actress Pauline Black, 21-year-old daughter of the late George Black, the West and impresario. Best man at the wedding was bandleader Ted Heath, for whom the bridegroom is compere vocalist. Mr Carpenter, who is French-Canadian, first came to Britain as a war correspondent for the Canadian broadcasting Corporation.
