More than 1 million used, taking part in the Soviet sponsored mammoth youth Festival. Yesterday marched through the mile long Unter den Linden to saluting base in the Marx-Engles square which was thronged with Germans and foreigners to hear a speech by Herr Ulbricht Communist Party secretary. This was the climax to the East Berlin youth Festival. During the parade to the square the youths carried huge portraits of Stalin and caricatures of Eisenhower. 13 August 1951
