Herbaria Visciolina Cherry or Black Cherry. Pl. 13; Vol. I; as illustration chromolithographic: "Italian Pomona that is treated of fruit trees;" the first and most important iconographic work of Italian pomology; curated by Giorgio Gallesio (1772-1839). Published in installments from 1817 until the death of the curator; was financed by an original associative system: the buyers; carefully selected; would buy each booklet; the proceeds of which were financing the production of the next file; just so Gallesio could bear the cost of the very high artistic quality prefix for the work. Typography Niccolò Capurro; Pisa 1817-1839.
