Emperor Seiwa (???? Seiwa-tenno; 850-878) was the 56th emperor of Japan; according to the traditional order of succession. Seiwa's reign spanned the years from 858 through 876.

The Tale of Great Minister Ban) is a late 12th century emakimono (handscroll painting) depicting the events of the Otemmon Conspiracy; an event of Japan's early Heian period.
