Pieces of metal for recycling come in a wide variety of sizes and types (cans, automobile bodies, scrap). They are first shredded in a pulverizer. The particles obtained are sorted via a magnetic system, then sometimes enriched with raw materials. The mixture is melted in a blast furnace, then molded into ingots. These are used to form sheets of metal that will be used in the manufacture of finished products.
