The Palace of Princess Ljubica (Konak knjegine Ljubice) was built and extended in 1829 and 1830 on an exsiitng palace by prince Milos to serve as his new city residence. But he soon left the palace for safety reasons due to the vicinity of the Turks and Ottomans. His wife Ljubica and his children took over the palace. The eldest son Milan died here; in 1839. Architect of the konak was Hajji Nikola Zivkovic. While still in Oriental style; there are first elements and applications of European architecture style included. Very special is the small lookout under the roof. Today; the building is used as a city museum for the permanent exhibition of "The Interiors of Belgrade homes in 19th century" and for temporary exhibition and concerts.
