Alan TURING (1912-1954) English mathematician; photographed in the years of the post-war period while rooms on the bus with other members of the Walton Athletic Club. Turing has been one of the pioneers of the study of logic of the computers and first to be interested to the artificial intelligence. During the Second World war it put its mathematical abilities to the service of the Department of English Communications in order to decipher the codes used in the German communications; created with the computer'Enigma'capace to generate a code that changed constantly.
