STILT HOUSES of Fiav?Carera in Trentino. The discovery of the existence of preistorico living in the river basin of the former Carera lake (progressively intorbato) happened to the half of XIX the century with the intense activities of extraction of the torba. By 1969 to the 1976 systematic searches were undertaken that interested two distinguished zones of the torbiera and the contiguous Doss Gustinaci. In the 1981 the intense activities still in course are resumed. Three distinguished the zones: the first placed on the island; the second one in the contiguous insenatura of the ancient lacustrine river basin; the third isolated east back. In the first the inhabited overlapping rests of three pertaining ones to various ages are found. The most ancient of Late Neolithic (III millenium a.C) occupied the surface of isoletta and some platforms that were constructed along the side with log sunk on the bottom. In the second one; of Medium Bronzo (1400-1300 a.C.) two types of inhabited structure were associated that spondale to the dry ground on high land and that more properly palafitticola one within the water mirror; erected by means of an ingenious system of foundation to regular shirts. The houses were constructed with light materials and cover in straw. The lived one; to unifamigliari modules; was closed and defended towards the lake from a palissade. A fire interrupted the life of the lived one. The third and last phase of frequentation; going back to Recent Bronzo (1300-1100 a.C.) is documented by ballasted wide 6 meters supported from log diposti cassettoni. In the second zone of takeover rests of a going back stilt house to Bronzo Ancient and Medium (1800 - 1400 a.C. have been capacities to light) erected within the lake on high isolated poles 9 - 10 meters; planted for a depth of 4-5 meters.
