The Chihuahuan Raven in its nest atop a cactus. Formerly known as the American White-Necked Raven, the Chihuahuan Raven has the proportions of the Common Raven with a heavy bill. The plumage is all-black with a rich purple-blue gloss. The nasal bristles extend far down the top of the bill. The base of the neck feathers are white and the bill, legs, and feet are black.
