Spotted Scorpionfish, Scorpaena plumieri, well-camouflaged and waiting for prey in Grand Cayman. These fish are armed with venomous dorsal, anal and pelvic fin spines. They can reach a maximum length of 46 cm (1 1/4 ft.). As seen in this picture, they camouflage themselves by mimicking algae, coral and rocks.
