Male and female red kangaroos (Megaleia rufa) in Thrushton National Park, Queensland, Australia. The male is larger and redder than the female "blue flyer", drinking on an Outback summer evening. Roos are crepuscular, active at dawn and dusk. The population, estimated at between 6 and 10 million, fluctuates with the rainfall.
