White-eyed wild fruit fly (Drosophila sp.). Many genes can affect the eye pigments of Drosophila sp. Some of these cause the absence of the normal brown pigment and appear red (e.g. vermillion). Others lack bright red pigment, and appear ruby or brown, while others, like this one, may lack both pigments and appear white.
