Isopods are crustaceans with species that live both on land and in the water. Some species are obligate cave dwellers. This is a terrestrial isopod of the family Trichoniscidae. This species is an obligate cave dwelling taxon with no eyes and little pigmentation. From end to end, this specimen is just larger than 1mm total length. It was photographed in the Arbuckles of Oklahoma in 2009.
