Praying mantis (Family Mantidae, Heirodula sp.) using its mouthparts to groom spines on its first pair of legs. The large forelegs with their sharp spines are used to grab and hold onto struggling prey when they are captured. The mantid was in rainforest in Lambir Hills National Park in Sarawak, Malaysia.
