Solar One, the world's largest solar power plant, in Daggett, California. Hundreds of motorized mirrors, called heliostats, reflect sunlight into receivers atop a massive tower. Inside each receiver, molten salt collects the sun's energy; this is used to produce super heated steam, which drives a turbine generator.
