This large snowflake has sparse asymmetrical branches. The left side of the crystal has likely grown faster than the rest, and has also encountered a small amount of rime (supercooled water droplets that freeze on impact). This crystal measures 7.9mm across the longest branches. If the image was reproduced at 10cm wide, the magnification factor would be roughly 14x. This crystal is a combination of multiple frames at different focus points to achieve full focus across the entire crystal. Photographed on a black woolen fabric.
