An approach side view of Fallingwater shows the home's famous cantilevered balconies and a cubist sculpture by Jacques Lipchitz (lower right). Fallingwater was designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1934. Located in rural Pennsylvania, the house was built partly over a waterfall. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966, and the American Institute of Architects named it the "best all-time work of American architecture" in 1991.
