The tombs of Xerxes, Darius I and Darius II in Persepolis, Iran. The palace complex in Iran's ancient capital of Pesepolis was founded by Darius the Great around 518 BCE and destroyed by Alexander the Great. The ruins lie about 500 miles south of Tehran.
