The Browne's Hill Dolmen is a portal tomb, a field monument, with what is said to be the heaviest capstone in Europe (103 metric tons.) Dolmens (tombs with capstones) were reserved for chiefs or kings. It is thought to have been erected between 3300-2900 BC.
