To the right of the globe are a man with rays of the sun streaming from his face (Dies/Day) and a woman with a crescent moon on her head (Nox/Night). Jan Collaert II or Hans Collaert II (1561 - 1620) was a Flemish engraver and printmaker working in Antwerp around the turn of the 17th century. Collaert also published under the name Jan Baptist Collaert.
