Captioned: "Mosaicall philosophy: grounded upon the essentiall truth or eternal sapience. Written first in Latin, and afterwards thus rendred into English. By Robert Fludd, Esq; & Doctor of Physick, 1659." Fludd's mosaical philosophy was tied in with the mystical alchemical interpretations of the Paracelcians and the works of Hermes Trismegistus. He believed that all things were completely and ideally in God and of God before they were made; that from God all things did flow and spring, namely, out of a secret and hidden nature to a revealed and manifest condition.
