Color-enhanced Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) of the stool of a 4-month old baby, fed only on breast milk. The stool was fixed immediately after excretion, captured on a bacteriological filter, and examined by scanning electron microscopy. The stool had a greenish-yellow colour. It consisted mostly of a wide variety of bacteria. Image width: 8.53 micrometers. Magnification: 11,725x if the image is printed 10 cm wide.
