Bermuda Palmetto (Sabal bermudana), endemic to the Bermuda Islands. After European colonization of Bermuda large numbers of this palm were destroyed for building materials as well as for its edible heart. Its numbers are now rapidly increasing due to nursery propagation for use in landscaping. The fruit of the palm is edible.
