Scarlet Gilia, Ipomopsis aggregata. Formerly in the genus Gilia. Within its range, an extremely showy and abundant wildflower. Widely distributed throughout the western US, from the semi-desert to montane zones. It prefers dry soils on hillsides, and along roadsides.
