Nerves of the hand, each falling into one of two distinct nerve groups - those that send signals, and those that transport signals to the central nervous system (CNS). Motor signals travel to dozens of muscles, glands, and arteries to relay commands to flex, release sweat, and allow more blood to enter a specific region. Nerves in the skin receive sensory information pertaining to touch, pressure, and temperature, along with perception of muscle activity, which allows for coordination.
