There are not many places you can go to capture the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy without light pollution. This was taken from a South Texas Ranch looking over a remote part of Mexico. Charles Messier was an astronomer who cataloged 'nuisance' objects in the sky while hunting for comets. This small patch of sky contains 13 beautiful (in telescopes) objects from his catalog. Five or six of them are large enough to be seen in this image.
